HIT Basics for Non-Nurses – 60 Mins.

Attendees: Pharmacists, pharmacy support staff, interns, reimbursement, intake, billing, nurse schedulers, etc.  

Description: Providing an overview of Home Infusion Therapy (HIT) and Enteral Therapy, types of IV lines, supply needs, and modes of administration for both enteral and HIT.  


Specialty Biological Infusions (RNs) – 60 Mins.

Attendees: Nurses and nurse schedulers

Description: Reviewing home biologic (monoclonal antibody) therapy and administration training.



TPN in the Home (RNs) – 45 Mins.

Attendees: Nurses and nurse schedulers

Description: An overview of home TPN therapy and administration training.


Immunoglobulin: IVIG/SCIG (RNs) – 60 Mins.

Attendees: Nurses and nurse schedulers

Description: Providing an overview of home immunoglobulin therapy and administration training for both IVIG and SCIG.


Enteral Therapy (RD, RNs, RPH, CSS & Support Staff) – 30 Mins.

Attendees: Customer support specialist, dietitians, interns, reimbursement, intake, billing, nurses, nurse schedulers, etc.

Description: An overview of home enteral therapy and administration training.



IV Modes of Administration (RNs, RPH, and Support Staff) – 60 Mins.

Attendees: Pharmacist, pharmacy support staff, interns, reimbursement, intake, billing, nurse schedulers, etc.

Description: A detailed explanation and demonstration of Home Infusion Therapy (HIT) modes of administration, including IV push, gravity, easy pump, syringe pump, and electronic pumps.



Vascular Access Device Management – 60 Mins.

Attendees: Nurses, Pharmacists, interns, schedulers, interns, billing, intake, and all team members.

Description: Review of Home Vascular Access Device (VAD) types, line care, Cathflo, line troubleshooting.


SOC Responsibilites, Pharmacy Orders & Resources (RNs) – 60 Mins.

Attendees: Nurses and nurse schedulers

Description: An overview of nurse responsibilities for Home Infusion Therapy (HIT) patients, pharmacy online resources, resources provided to the patient at start of care (SOC), and pharmacy product label instructions.  


Chemo Takedown – 60 Mins.

Attendees: Nurses and nurse schedulers

Description: Review the process for stopping chemotherapy in the home setting and chemotherapy precautions to protect the nurse and the environment.



PCA – 45 Mins.

Attendees: Nurses and nurse schedulers

Description: An overview of home pain management therapy and administration training with access to resources for clinicians.
