Senior Vice President, Health System Business Development David Adair supports the growth of all CarepathRx Specialty Pharmacy & Infusion Solutions partners, including direct oversight of the business development team that drives UPMC Chartwell. He also has spent more than 20 years building home infusion and specialty pharmacy business lines at UPMC, along with supporting the growth of long-term care pharmacies, compliance packaging pharmacies, and retail pharmacy networks.

His team of experienced and tenured sales and marketing professionals employ a variety of strategies built around the concept of establishing credibility-based relationships with all key stakeholders. Direct sales drive the business with support from traditional and electronics-based communications strategies. With more than 5,000 points of customer contact, the team focuses primarily on highly profitable, long-term therapies which treat chronic and acute conditions.

Mr. Adair is a member of the NHIA Government Relations Committee, the NHIA Lobbying Group, and has spoken at several NHIA conferences on health system business development topics

He is a graduate of West Virginia University, completed the UPMC Leadership Development Intensive through the University of Pittsburgh Katz School of Business, and earned a certificate in Financial Management for Non-Financial Leaders from Penn State University.
